10 Ways to Improve Your Avvo Rating – Attorney Marketing Tips

by Ryan Stewart @ WEBRIS

Up until 1976,  it was considered highly unethical for lawyers to advertise and market themselves. 40 years later, things have changed – there’s endless places to advertising your practice (some have even placed ads on condoms or papers used to roll joints). Luckily, the internet has given you options like SEO, PPC and Avvo to market your business in a way that’s more conducive to your brand. In this article, I’m going to cover: Why you should invest your time into optimizing Avvo The “ranking factors” Avvo is looking at when showing attorney profiles Simple and easy tips to optimize your Avvo profile to get more organic views   In a nutshell, Avvo allows users to leave reviews (between 1 and 10) about an attorney’s work. The only way you can improve your standing is by claiming it and completing it. Avvo dominates organic search. A lot of people will be finding (or not finding) your profile and making a decision to work with you or not. Avvo is a legitimate source of legal information. You can answer the questions asked by people who are looking for help with legal issues, and easily establish your … Continue reading 10 Ways to Improve Your Avvo Rating – Attorney Marketing Tips

Seven Tips for Video Optimization

by 6 @ Volacci Digital Marketing - Planet Drupal

Video optimization will hold even more weight in 2010 then it does now and for more than two reasons. However, I am only going to give you two: 1) YouTube is the second-largest search engine, playing the fiddle only behind Google, and 2) Google introduced auto-captioning for its YouTube channel last week, helping people find videos via search engines more efficiently. A well-optimized video and company YouTube channel will benefit any SEO campaign. Your main focus for optimization should be on-page SEO with keyword utilization. If used properly, there are two places where your videos can rank well: in YouTube’s own search results, as well... Read the full article: Seven Tips for Video Optimization

Video SEO: Bringing Visibility to Invisible Content

by 14 @ Volacci Digital Marketing - Planet Drupal

The ongoing question about the superiority of video over text (or vice versa) is irrelevant. Sure, video is a newcomer to the SEO game (trailing text by about two decades), but the question shouldn’t be about the importance of one over the other; it should be about how they can coexist and bring people to your site.

Video SEO is a process to ensure that Google finds, indexes and displays your video content. Here are some important video SEO tips.

1. Upload your videos to YouTube. The ever-growing video giant is taking over the webosphere, and despite the numerous benefits of posting videos to YouTube, one stands out above the rest: a 100 percent chance of being indexed by Google. Feed the giant and everyone wins.

2. Submit a video sitemap... Read the full article: Video SEO: Bringing Visibility to Invisible Content

by Ryan Stewart @ WEBRIS

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday so I’m really feeling the love today. I’m going to give you the exact data modeling template I use to determine the return on investment (ROI) of paid search (PPC) campaigns. I’ve explained how to use it via video (below) and screenshot guide (below).   Tab 1: Enter your information We need to put in some quick information points to get a better picture of the ROI.   Tab 2: Dump in your AdWords data  Navigate to Google’s Keyword Planner Enter between 5 – 10 planned keywords into the search field Click search, navigate to “Keyword Ideas” tab We want to make sure there’s sufficient search volume for the keywords we’re targeting If there isn’t use the keyword suggestions, add them to the search field, search again Once you’ve found sufficient volume, click the “Download” button Tab 2: Dump in your AdWords data  Navigate to Google’s Keyword Planner Enter between 5 – 10 planned keywords into the search field Click search, navigate to “Keyword Ideas” tab We want to make sure there’s sufficient search volume for the keywords we’re targeting If there isn’t use the keyword suggestions, add them … Continue reading How to Determine the ROI of a PPC Campaign [FREE Template]
